[edit] Early Works
Darkpower's writing first began with an "underground" fanfiction (his own term) named "Sailor Moon '99", a script-format fanfiction that while controversial in the grammer specification, had garnered a cult-like following.
[edit] The CWE
In 1999, Darkpower had began the script-format Cartoon Wresting Federation, a crossover of the WWE and many Anime shows, Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z being among them. The crossover had been one of the longest running fanfiction series of all time, with the series having an "on/off again" schedule. The CWF became the CWE, or Cartoon Wrestling Entertainment, to coincide with the WWE's name change in 2002.
The series focused on the characters from the focused on Animes competing in a WWE ring with WWE wrestlers such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and more recently John Cena and Triple H. Some Anime characters used were not very populer or used widley in the Animes that the characters originated, such as Sailor Moon villian Queen Beryl becoming a title holder and Trigun villian Dominique, who was only featured in one episode of that Anime series, was featured in more than one episode. Also, the CWE took on WWE show names, such as RAW, SmackDown, and Wrestlemania, and took place in a WWE ring and real arenas.
The CWE had followed WWE storylines (or angles) while creating their own. In addition, a rule in the CWE is that Anime characters did not have to remain in character once introduced. This in turn opened the door for many characters to turn on others that they wouldn't normally turn on, and befriend otherwise mortal enemies. Anime characters turned face (good) and heel (bad) just as easily as the WWE wrestlers. It was also commonplace to see intergender matches, and to see female Anime wrestlers hold main event positions on cards.
The CWE had its own share of controversies. A 1999 match between Queen Beryl and Stone Cold Steve Austin left sour tastes in the mouths of a few fans when Beryl became the "first champion" (the CWE was later given a "fake" history that would make it date back to the early 80's, thereby neglecting such a title). It had also gotten controversy for a 1999 No Mercy angle in which the Darkpower character in the fanfiction turned on Beryl after a lead on of a romantic interlude in order to make Triple H the champion in a six-pack title match, which sparked flashbacks in several fans.
Another recent controversy was regarding a major addition to the CWE SmackDown roster, Kim Possible, in 2003. It was thought of that because no non-Anime character has graced the CWE ring before (a two episode stint of Spider-Man when the series first "hit mainstream" was seen, but not in a serious role), and because of the network affiliation Kim Possible had, Disney, she shouldn't have been able to be competing in a CWE ring. However, this move proved to work out in a positive light, due to her being used in a more serious light, and because of the cult-like status of the Kim Possible show on the Disney Channel.
Although the CWE used the WWE belt names, the CWE did create its own South East Asian title belt, made in 2000 and was dropped in 2001. The belt was later resurrected in 2003 and has remiained in existance since on the SmackDown brand.
Although actual episodes of the CWE have not been written, it is believed that the CWE is still being performed. Thus, when new episodes are made, it is shown in the assumption that nothing has stopped, and show "transcripts" are written in the middle of an angle. Therefore, many belts are given holders during the "hiatus" periods that would seem resonable given current situations and how situations would be.
Although many fanfiction sites refuse to accept script-format stories, Darkpower has explictivly refused to write the CWE any other way, citing that a CWE book-formatted form would "be corny", and that the script-format is the only way for the CWE to work in the way that it does.
It is reported that Darkpower will begin writing the CWE again as an exclusive for his site, and beginning a "CWE 24/7" service on Yahoo! Groups, similar to WWE's 24/7 Video On Demand service, to "fill in the gaps" of the hiatuses and to provide a historical feel to the CWE.

[edit] Unnecessary Punishment
This fanfiction was Darkpower's first fortay into book-style formatted fanfiction. The plot centers around Queen Beryl, ten years following an unexplained rebuilt of the Moon Kingdom and resurrection of Queen Serenity. Sanikite, a created character for the Dark Kingdom and Beryl's lover in the story, and Beryl have a four year old daughter named Ashely Beryl (earlier versions of this story name her "Seryl" for a name rhyming scheme). A High Crimes Court on the Moon Kingdom abducts Ashely as an arrest for Queen Beryl (who is given the name "Melissa Beryl" in this and other Darkpower stories) for her destruction of the Moon Kingdom. Created chracter Carl Reinheart sentences the found guilty Beryl to watch him execute Ashely (hense the title). Created character Casto Sommers also appears and is given a key role in this story as the blood brother of Serena/Usagi, although this appears to be the only completed story outside of the CWE and Sailor Moon '99 stories that Casto appears. This remains one of the few stories that appears to be mainly sympathetic of Beryl's position, with the narroration speaking in a way that makes Beryl the victim.
This story had debuted in 1999, and has since been given numerous revisions, the latest being the change of the daughter's name to Ashely Beryl, mainly due to Ashely appearing in the CWE as Melissa Beryl's daughter. Queen Beryl's full name was Michelle Beryl in early versions, but was changed to also coincide with other Darkpower fanfictions.
[edit] Got There Too Late
A controversial, out of character, self-imposed fanfiction with Minako/Sailor Venus acting as a fan of Darkpower's work, acting as a songfic to Eminem's "Stan". Darkpower implies that he wanted for this fanfiction to be exactly similar to the song in every sense it could, including the self-imposing (Eminem is the subject and recipient of "Stan's" letters in the song), the crazed actions of the fan, and the level-headed response of the recipient. Notherless, this was referred to as a "crapfic," even though, dispite Darkpower's defense of his intentions, Darkpower says that he doesn't mind the label for the fanfic because he didn't intend for the fanfiction to be a serious work, instead being something that was thought up of in a whim.
[edit] Cleaning Out Her Closet
Another Eminem song, "Cleaning Out My Closet", this time only using lines from the song where appropriate, once again focuses on Queen Beryl, this time in first person (the first regular formatted first person story that Darkpower has written), telling of her true intentions and reasons for her actions. The story is another Darkpower writing that is sympathetic of Beryl (although it is from Beryl's point of view, it is written in a way to show that Beryl has concious, was forced and/or talked into her actions, and felt guilty about what she had committed).
[edit] Fight For Your Rights
To coincide with a MTV movie cronolizing the brutal death of Matthew Shepard, Darkpower wrote this story about Haruka and Michiru in the commonwealth of Virginia to search for the pure heart when they come across two homophobic men that they save before the men hear the two talk as if they were lovers. The two are later a victim of an assult by the men in a way that renders the two defenseless. The story was been revised for errors in correct ephithets and continuity errors. Although Darkpower is strict on the MSTing of his stories, he has explictivley refused to let anyone MST this particular story.
[edit] Works to come
Darkpower had announced a few projects for the future:
[edit] Moon Kingdom
One of the most hyped of the upcoming projects. The story is set 100 years prior to the destruction of the Silver Millennium. The continuity is changed slightly to fit the storyline. Queen Serenity sanctions the Peace Corps (which would be later renamed the Sailor Sensei/Soilders), with approval of the bipartial Silver Millennium Council, in a desperate attempt to accomplish her dream of 1000 years of peace. The story is set to focus mainly on the members of the Peace Corps, even though the secondary characters get as much focus.
[edit] Artemis' Lover
One of the most controversial projects announced, even though this one has become all be abandoned. Announced as a possible remake of the controversial Oscar hentai fanfiction of the same name that was published in 1997. It was once reported to have a similar but not the same story. It was also thought of to have a completly different story altogether.
[edit] Haunted History (tenative title)
A story that deals with a person obsessed with the dropping of the Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima during the end of World War II. Darkpower hasn't given much public information about this fanfiction.
