[edit] remains so to this day
I'm removing this because it sounds like POV and it isn't really true if you consider the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fighting games. --Feitclub 03:40, Apr 7, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] The OVA anime
Who wasn't in the OVA series? A lot of characters appeared just to fight Pyron (and lose) but this article suggests someone was missing. Who? Rikuo maybe? --Feitclub 04:00, Apr 7, 2005 (UTC)
- As I recall, Jedah, B.B.Hood, Lilith and Q-Bee (the newest characters) were not in the OVA. Otherwise, everyone else was a story character or tossed into that scene near the end with Pyron going on a rampage; I'm sure I saw Rikuo in there. -- VederJuda 20:00, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
If nothing else, Rikuo is in the intro.
- I remember he appeared briefly in one scene losing a fight to Pyron... Vicco Lizcano 16:40, 14 February 2007 (UTC) (Tell me where I'm wrong)
[edit] Characters with appearances in other series
It might be useful to elaborate there, state what other games these characters have appeared in. Most are probably just featured in the Marvel Vs. Capcom games, but if they've made other substantial appearances -- like Morrigan as a playable character in the Dreamcast port of GunBird 2 -- they should be mentioned. --alpha5099 1:45, July 2, 2005 (EST)
- B.B.Hodd appears as a playable character in Capcom's Canon Spike, along with Megaman, Cammy and Charlie (From Street Figther).Vicco Lizcano 16:41, 14 February 2007 (UTC) (Tell me where I'm wrong)
- The correct wikilink is: Cannon Spike.Vicco Lizcano 16:18, 16 February 2007 (UTC) (Tell me where I'm wrong)
[edit] Demitri
How is it that Baby Bonnie Hood has her own article but we don't have oen for Demitri Maximov? That seems odd...
[edit] Q-Bee
I can't find any sources to back this up but doesnt the 'Q' in 'Q-Bee' stand for queen? Has anyone else heard that. Also, is "soul bee" what she is known as in Japan because if so then that needs to be clarified?
[edit] Categories and Naming
We need to decide this once and for all: should characters be listed in categories by their first or last names? For example, "Morrigan Aensland" or "Aensland, Morrigan". My suggestion is that for the Darkstalkers characters category, it should be by first name because that's how they're usually refered to in the games. For other categories it should be based on what's done there already; if characters appear in a category where it last name first, then we'll do that. It's really getting annoying seeing people change it back and forth; it's like watching kindergardeners going "Mine!", "No it's mine!". -- VederJuda 18:57, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- Last name. It's been discussed at the cvg wikipedia project.--Dangerous-Boy 20:04, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Does anyone know if this is correct?
I play a table top RPG called World of Darkness (WoD) by White-Wolf. My GM is one of the few players who started playing it when it first came out. You may be wondering why I am telling you this. Well, I remember talking to him about Darkstalkers and he said, and I quote, "Darkstalkers used to be an aproved World of Darkness game." Which I take to mean that Darkstalkers used to be considered a part of the World of Darkness universe, does anyone know if this is true?
what exactly does the word "darkstalker" mean? I didn't see any info on that.
- As far as I know, that's not true... Darkstalkers is completely different from the World of Darkness. However, White Wolf may have mentioned it as an influence in a book somewhere, or made passing reference. That doesn't make it an "Approved Game", especially since who would care that a little company like White Wolf approved a game made by Capcom? White Wolf barely gets any cover space on their own games... --Serow 20:36, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
The World of Darkness and White Wolf logos did once appear on the US flyers for Vampire Saviour which is the sequel to Darkstalkers. See the external links.
[edit] External links
Why should MobyGames not be included? The page has got its own article as well as its own template. The template is frequently used among articles on video games.
-
- Yes. And in stub articles, I can spy the need for insertion. But WP:EL and other policies dictate that articles that hold suffucent information should have revatively few external links, especially if the site in question posseses less increments of information here. As far as concensus, I do not see it. Many veteran editors such as I remove them on site in regards to the thesis of the article. We are not a link-site. -ZeroTalk 19:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

-
- Well, I reject some of my previous statement. Most articles shouldn't have many external links at all, that's what editors are for. There should only be an exception when the composition is drawn from said several websites and its listed under references. Somehow, I doubt the claim of this site providing the data for this exhaustive article. -ZeroTalk 19:51, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

- The whole staff-section is nowhere to be found on wikipedia, why should it even? And yes I've read the policies. And no I don't mean to flood wikipedia with links - although I do admit I tend to, I think it's not the case in this case. Guess you don't see my point in linking to a resource where the whole staff can be found but I don't care enough to keep arguing. Fine with me... Eliashc 20:17, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confusion???
I am completely confuse about the darkstalkers 3 Us game, I got it has all 18 characters in it, and was released in 1998.
- Home console versions have all characters, the arcade versions don't (because they've already reached the 48MB limit on the CPS2 board's RAM, Japan-only alternate versions (By the name of Vampire Hunter 2 and Vampire Savior 2) were made to replace certain characters with others that can not fit on the board.
