[edit] Superfluous
This page is superfluous. There is already a page for the MMORPG Darkfall Online, and there is already a page for the novel by Dean Koontz named Darkfall. This page should probably be modified to be a redirect to the MMORPG, since it seems the more popular of the two subjects. Skinrider 14:02, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Well spotted, I concur. MLA 20:52, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- What you obviously didn't notice is that, just six days prior to your misplaced back-slappery, someone copied the original article, Darkfall, to one of its own redirect pages, Darkfall Online (see here [1]). Crucially, the core principle of their action to replace a legitimate redirect with the main article and your decision to re-enforce that move with further edits was and still is incorrect, namely that Darkfall Online is the game's true name when in fact it's actually just Darkfall. I've made the relevant changes to both articles and ask interested parties to help maintain the correct distiction here at Wikipedia at the very least. What you call it elsewhere is of course your own business. ◄ИΞШSΜΛЯΞ► 22:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Clearly, you failed to recognize that the point of this exercise was to simply eliminate a superfluous page. It was hardly a conspiracy to rename the game. Whether Darkfall Online redirects to Darkfall or Darkfall redirects to Darkfall Online, nobody (barring you) could care less about. Skinrider 17:26, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- If you don't care about factual accuracy then stop contributing to this encyclopaedia. Removing a superfluous page and being accurate are not mutally exclusive, and as it was you managed neither. Gratz. ◄ИΞШSΜΛЯΞ► 20:01, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I concur with Newsmare, although he could have been a bit nicer in his tone 24.205.34.217 01:00, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Incorrect. A superfluous page was indeed removed (modified to a redirect, actually), and the factual accuracy of the article was unaffected by this decision. I'm sure that your efforts to use the appropriate name of the game are invaluable, but as User:24.205.34.217 said, your tone of voice was unnecessary. Skinrider 18:41, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
