Right. I did Dark Force thing. I could only find an image of his first form, so it still needs some work.

[edit] About the name...

How is it at all appropriate to call Dark Falz in PSO "Dark Force" when it is never referred to in that at all? I understand that it's the same boss, but it has a different name and that should be acknowledged in any sections for games where that name is used, not just in the introduction. It's better to refer to it as "Dark Falz" there and simply point out that it is in fact Dark Falz. --Impossible 10:48, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2nd paragraph, 1st game

It mentions that Dark Falz in the first game was called Dark Phallus in the Japanese version. Is that true, or would that be vandalism? I find it hardly believable, as it looks nothing like a phallus. My apologies if it's true. - ChrisRJ 4:30 PM PST 17 August 2006

  • Sort of. In Japanese, "Farasu" could, feasibly, be translated as "Phallus". AngelusInsomnus 21:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
  • Actually a page in the compendium does indeed show the name as Dark Phallus (PsyGuy 2nd 13:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Missing information

I noticed there is no information about Olga Flow, which, if I interpreted PSO ep. 2 correctly, was created when Dark Force's DNA combined with Flowen and the computer Olga. I think that it would be a nice addtion to the article. - Melles, Lord of Badgers 12:17 AM 8/26/06 (EST)

  • I don't think Olga Flow really counts as an incarnation of Dark Falz in and of itself. The D-Factor created by Dark Falz can be found in pretty much any Dark-attribute creature, be it a boss or a foot soldier like a Dimenian. --AngelusInsomnus 21:43, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
  • This is true but it does bear a striking resemblance to the Soldiers Temple Dark Force entity in Phant 4.(PsyGuy 2nd 13:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC))

[edit] More on Dark Force's name

Some have speculated that a Dark Falz is actually an undeveloped form of a Dark Force, which in turn is an undeveloped form of a Profound Darkness.

[edit] IDOLA

In PSO, the name of the theme songs that it uses in it's first forms and it's final form respectively are called "Pray, for IDOLA the Distorted" and "Cry, for IDOLA the Holy". Who is IDOLA and what does he/she have to do with Dark Falz/Dark Force/Profound Darkness/-snicker- Dark Phallus? Ensis5 18:43, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "Accidentally"

"During the final area, Ruins, it is revealed that the character Red Ring Rico accidentally broke the seal on Dark Force and became the creature's new host."

I don't think Rico accidentally broke the seal...the seal weakens every 1000 years, and she knew what Dark Falz was before she went to fight it, as evidenced in her message. Her last message clearly states that she plans to destroy it before it comes back with "the perfect body", and implying that if she fails, she wants you to do it for her.

So should we change it?

Ensis5 06:40, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Rico did indeed break the seal, that's how it gained possession of her body. Does the Seal even weaken every 1000 years in the PSO continuity?(PsyGuy 2nd 13:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Edit explanation

I found more than a couple things that were wrong in this article, and I'll explain each here.

Dark Force first entered Algol when it was summoned by Reipard La Shiec in AW 285.

I removed this, because it's contradicting with the "every 1000 years bit". I also doubt if it really was the first time that it entered Algol, because of what Le Roof explains in PSIV and the sealing taking place a couple million years before Phantasy Star.

  • I could be wrong but in response to your statement I don't believe the seal was broken and a Dark Force freed until Lasshiec began to tamper with it. Hence the explanation in 4 that the Great Light Sealed it away.(PsyGuy 2nd 13:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC))
It is almost impossible to beat, and upon defeat, the characters will believe it to be just a bad dream.

I added to this to clarify that it doesn't matter which side gets defeated.

The population escaped in a fleet of 400 worldships, but Dark Force secretly pursued the fleet and destroyed all but three of the ships

PSIV tells us that a lot of ships landed on Motavia and Dezolis. Clarified this.

Orakio and Laya managed to trap Dark Force when it boarded the Alisa III, but the Dark Force manages to use its influence to deceive Orakio's and Laya's descendants into waging a 1000-year long conflict with each other.

This needed rewording. This makes it sound like Dark Force was trapped as soon as it got on the ship, while first he provoked the Orakio-Laya conflict. The conflict lasted because it was never resolved, not because of Dark Force's influence. Orakio and Laya disappeared.

Possessing an archaeologist named Seth

Now that is just plain wrong. Seth wasn't possessed by Dark Force, he was Dark Force. Take Seth around the academy, no one will know him. It's obvious that he isn't human. Corrected this.

  • Absolutley correct, Hahn gives a clue about this aswell.PsyGuy 2nd 13:52, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Once the three heads have been defeated, or the main body has taken enough damage

The heads can't be defeated.

[edit] He?, It?, and how many?

Even though Dark Force is sometimes called Dark Phallus can he really be considered a "He" shouldn't it be "It"? I don't remember anybody actually calling It a He at any point in any of the games.

Secondly the explanations of the Dark Forces that appear in Phant 4. It isnt ONE creature escaping and reappearing, its MULTIPLE creatures that have been released from the almost completley destroyed Seal, hence the Prophallus enemies showing up inside The Edge. Other proof of this is one having been causing the sickness on Dezolis and one controlling the Kulan Climate systems both happen at the same time.

Same goes for the other games the one they killed in 1 wasnt the one from 2 and so forth. It was contained on multiple world ships that escaped Palma during The Great Collapse as in one of the endings there is communication between two of the world ships PsyGuy 2nd 13:51, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Phant 2 and 3's Loop connection

Shouldnt there be some mention of the fact in one of Phant 3' ending the players are teleported through a Blackhole arriving in the Sol solar system, back in time to a point when the Earthmens "Earth" had not yet been ravaged by war. This is how come the "alien" Earthmen had a Dark Force sealed on their spaceship Noah in the first place as the telepathic entity caused them to destroy their homeworld, and quite creepily then used them to return to the Algo star System.
