Darwin International Guitar Festival

Held every two years to start with, then as it got bigger and bigger, it changed to once every three years. This is the festival to see all the big names in Australian guitar music e.g. Karin Schaupp, Saffire, Slava Grigoryan. Plus many international stars - John Williams has attended for instance.
Australian composers are features of the festival - Richard Charlton, Peter Sculthorpe and Nicholas Routley for examples have all had works performed here over the years.
The home of the festival is Charles Darwin University, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
