Dartball
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dartball is a game in which darts are thrown at a wooden board with colored area's which denote bases. Dartball uses baseball like scoring.
Dartball rules and board configurations vary from league to league, but generally teams are comprised of nine players plus possible alternates. Dartball teams are usually formed at churches, often playing their games in church basements or common areas.
Dartball is very competitive game in which both teams will do just about anything to get inside the head of the current batter. Some teams are really competitive and some teams are just there to enjoy the game. In each game played there are three individual nine inning games, with the exception of tie games in which twelve innings will be played, in order for a team to record a win they must win two out of the three individual games with the option of winning all three. Most boards are comprised of out, single, ball, strike, double play, triple play, stolen base, runner off first, runner off base, sacrifice, balk, home run, and walk space(s) around the four base diamond first, second, third, and home plate. The home run tends to be in the very center of the board and is a circular space with a diameter of around two and a half inches. The home run(o) is surrounded by three singles(1), two outs(X), two strikes(/), and one ball(B) that form a square around the home run. This is where you want your dart to be hitting consistently, unless of course you have skill enough to throw for the 2 bagger or 3 bagger.

The darts used for dartball are different from the typical pub game darts, and are made of wood with metal tips.
