Darryl Tapp (born September 13, 1984) is a current American Football defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks. He was drafted in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Tapp played college football at Virginia Tech where he was a two time All-ACC first-team selection.

[edit] High School Years

Tapp attended Deep Creek High School and lettered in football, basketball and track and field.

[edit] NFL Career

As a rookie, Tapp was a special teamer and part of the Seahawk's DE rotation. He recorded 33 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception, and 1 defensive touchdown. In 2007, Tapp may see more playing time, as it has become obvious that current starting Seahawk's LE Grant Wistrom has lost his pass rush abilities to age, and will probably take a large paycut or be cut altogether.
