Extremely likeable, intellectually engaging and versatile character actor. He rose from the ranks of stand-up comedy to be knighted by the king of late night Johnny Carson. From Sivad’s first appearance on The Tonight Show he landed the lead role on his own ABC sitcom Homeroom for which he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Best Actor in a Sitcom. Born in Detroit, Michigan. Has appeared on Til Death, Friends, The Naked Truth, C Bear & Jamal, NYPD Blue, A Cinderella Story, ER, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Jamie Foxx Show, The Parkers, The Division, and others.
Also a talented fine art photographer who arrived in New York for an apprenticeship with Richard Avedon. Assisted Anthony Barboza. Opened Northlight Studio with Kamoigne members C. Daniel Dawson, Ray Francis and others. In the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institute and the Museum of the African Diaspora.
