Darren Heath

Darren Heath, born 1970, is a motorsport photographer specialising in Formula One, and is Principal Photographer for F1 Racing magazine.
By taking a picture inside the cockpit of Mika Häkkinen's retired car - revealing the footwell - and accompanying pictures of McLaren's exiting corners with their rear brake discs glowing, he is credited with revealing a secret independent braking system in 1997 (which Williams and Jordan would imitate the following season). The sensitive cockpit picture was published in F1 Racing that year.
