Darren Acton (b. 19 May 1973) is an English goalkeeper, who currently (February 2007) plays for Conference North side Nuneaton Borough.
Acton started his football career with Telford United before having spells with Burton Albion and Kidderminster Harriers.
On 15 June 1999 Acton joined Tamworth from Kidderminster Harriers. During his time with the lambs, Acton helped Tamworth to the Dr. Martens Premier Division title and a runners-up spot in the FA Trophy.
After a very successful time with Tamworth, Acton moved to local rivals Nuneaton Borough on the 25 June 2003[1]. Acton has proved to be a popular and important member of the squad, adding his wealth of non-league experience to the increasing list of Boro strengths.
Acton scored his only career goal for Nuneaton Borough against Droylsden with a last minute headed equalizer. Acton also had the pleasure of playing against Middlesbrough twice in the third round of the FA Cup.
