Darrel Akerfelds

Darrel Wayne Akerfelds (born June 12, 1962 in Denver, Colorado) is the current bullpen coach of the San Diego Padres franchise, in Major League Baseball. He has been in this role since June 11th, 2001. He also had a 12-year professional pitching career, playing for Oakland, Cleveland, Texas and Philadelphia.
Akerfelds played collegiate baseball for the University of Arkansas and Mesa State College.
