Darby Lloyd Rains is a former adult film actress and one of the most prolific pornstars of the 1970s. Unlike most pornographic actresses, Darby was considered by most a decent actress.
She begin her career in 1970 with a string of porn roles. Then in 1971, she was cast as an uncredited stripper in the mainstream film The French Connection. At this time, very few pornstars had secured roles in mainstream films. This garnered heavy attention, and she continued to have great success in porn throughout the 1970s. In 1980, she decided to settle down and retire.
