This page attempts to organize and keep track of the articles on Denmark and Danish related subjects on Wikipedia. Each article is assigned a level of completedness according to the following scale:

Image:25%.png - stub, a paragraph or two, completely inadequate.
Image:50%.png - maybe a few paragraphs, but coverage is inadequate, still missing some basic information.
Image:75%.png - Many paragraphs, covers all, or almost all, basic information, provides a bit of depth.
Image:100%.png - Featured article status, or has gone as far as it can go, as in the case of a simple list.

When rating articles keep in mind the subject at hand. A very broad topic could be considered inadequate even if it is much longer than another article on a very narrow topic.

I would appreciate some help to extend the part about Denmark in the new article about the nuclear power phase-out. I have the politics of several other countries covered, but Denmark is still missing. Anybody interested? BTW, I also need reviews. Please post here. Hi, I'm Peo from the Danish Wikipedia, and I just happen to work at the only place in Denmark where we've ever operated nuclear reactors, i.e. the Risø National Laboratory. Risø was created in the late 1950's and put to the task of researching into and planning eventual "future" nuclear power i Denmark. Here, we've been running three relatively small nuclear reactors, not for energy production, but for research purposes (one of the reactors was concidered Europe's finest source of "cold" neutrons) and for serving commercial needs for radiation - for many years we irradiated silicon for use in the semiconductor business.
However, the political "mood" turned against nucelar power, even in the midst of the oil crisis of the 1970's, Instead, Risø began looking into other means of producing energy — one of these technologies were wind turbines; a field where Denmark today is an industry leader.
In 1983, nuclear power was finally "ruled out" politically, and this lead to one of Risø's three nuclear reactors to be shut down for good. And shortly after the turn of the century, when the two remaining reacors began showing signs of their 40 year age, the decision was made to end the "nuclear energy chapter" in the history of Denmark: The last reactor was shut down for all time in (I think) 2001. The people who was once operating and maintaining the reactors, are now given the task of finding a way to completely remove the reactors, and clean up the sites for any and all residual radiation — this is expected to take about 20 years.
Risø carries on researching into a whole host of "non-nuclear" energy sources: Improvements to conventional coal- og oil-based energy productions; fuel cells that work on atmospheric air and natural gas, next-generation bio-fuels, super-cheap solar cells made of plastics, and more...

[edit] Coperative movement in Denmark

Hi everyone. I am a Romanian editor, currently contributing articles on the history of various left-wing trends in Romania. It turns out that, during the late 1800s-early 1900s, several agrarian Romanian politicians were enthusiastic about the success of cooperative farming in Denmark, and were offering it as a sample of success. I do not know if an article on that specific topic exists, or if it should/will exist. In case it does, in case it will, or in case you're thinking about it, please contact me on my talk page and provide the title under which it can be found or will be found (I am not watching this page, so please consider giving me a signal if this topic has found an answer or has sparked a debate). If anybody feel any of it can be used, feel free. Agricultural history is not my normal area of expertise, so I have no sources at hand for this particular topic. It is essentially a few pieces I picked up here and there in history classes, combined with growing up in a small Funish village. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 21:43, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I've begun to copyedit the text. I have a few books that might be helpful, and the overview by Valentinian should be no problem getting sourced. Reading through it, it's not as much about the coorporative movement and its organization, as it is about general Danish agricultural history from 1400 onwards. If it doesn't exist already, perhaps we should start with a Danish agricultural history article, and then work from there? Poulsen 11:31, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
That sounds like a great idea. You're quite right; my posts dealt mostly with Danish agricultural history as such, which is why I wrote that I'd added a bit of information on Dahn's page. :) I don't like corporate websites as sources as they are normally of pretty low quality, but I wonder if there could be anything of value on the webpages of Arla, Danish Crown or Coop? Interestingly, we have a page on History of agriculture but next to no country-specific articles on this matter (Japanese agriculture before WWII seems to be the exception and there's a little material on Agriculture in Australia. An article about the Danish enclosure movement would also be a great idea. I don't even think we have an illustration of Frihedsstøtten. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 12:49, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm glad to have sparked off a creative process of this magnitude, and fidgeting to see the end result (with the intention of adding a short note on the status symbol of the movement in Romanian agrarian politics). A minor semantical note: as I see it, the traditional format of wikipedia titles should generally use "x of Denmark"/"x in Denmark" rather than "Danish x" (I suppose this is because the context referes to the country more than it does to the people inside and outside Denmark). After forgetting all about it, I've just taken some time to wikify Valentinian's prose, and make the Andelsbevægelsen article. Though I had the idea of a general history of Danish agriculture, creating two largely unsourced articles seemed just too much and I settled on just one..
