From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I contribute to reference articles in several areas of technical computing that I have a strong interest in, including:

I am particularly keen to document nomenclature and taxonomy in the field of simulation and virtual machines. The Wikipedia is the best forum I can think of for doing this... please help if you care to. My contributions point to many of the existing pages in the topic area.

An example of where I plan to work can be seen at Virtual machines which I haven't yet edited. It is at once careful and informative, ecclectic and confused due to lack of unambiguous terminology. My personal interest is in virtual machines in the sense of full system simulation (there's another term!) of hardware, often called emulation. I expect people who maintain language-based pure virtual machines would be as glad to be rid of their current associations relating to silicon instruction sets as I am to be disentangled with them :-)

I am dabbling my toe in the Swedish Wikipedia where you can review my work starting from DanShearer . I am not generating original context over there.

You can find some other stuff at the shearer.org home page
