Dansette

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Dansette was a brand of portable mono record player with a built-in speaker. It also had an autochanger allowing several records to be loaded at once, to be played in succession. It was first manufactured in 1952 and at least one million were sold in the 1950s and 1960s.

Dansettes went out of production in the early 1970s when they were superseded by stereo systems.
