The Dano-Swedish War 1657-1658 was a war between Sweden and Denmark. 1657, the Danish king, Frederick III attacked Sweden in order to get back the territory lost in 1645. In January 1658, the Swedish army marched across the icy Great Belt and Little Belt. The Swedes were victorius and suprised the Danes. They were forced to surrender and the war ended with a large Swedish territorial gain. This is one of Swedens most succesful wars ever.
