Daniel "Danny" Sonner (b. 9 January 1972 in Wigan) is a Northern Irish international footballer, currently playing as a Midfielder for English League One club Port Vale F.C.
A much-travelled midfielder he has represented his country six times.
Plucked from obscuirity from German third division football, he became a valuable squad member for George Burley's Ipswich Town. He fell out with the manager after a series of high profile 'drunken' nights out, including receiving a ban for drink driving, and he was soon off to Sheffield Wednesday for £70,000.
Although his dress sense has constantly been a source of amusement to his international team mates especially when socialising after matches. However his lack of banter is made up by the fact that he is still driving round in a hairdresser's car.
