Daniel Anthony Hutton (born September 10, 1942 in Buncrana, Ireland) is an American singer, best known as one of the three lead vocalists in the band, Three Dog Night.
Hutton moved to the U.S. as a child. While living in Los Angeles, he did voice-overs for animated cartoons and had a brief solo recording career (including the single "Roses and Rainbows") before joining singers Cory Wells and Chuck Negron to found Three Dog Night in 1968. After Three Dog Night split up, Hutton managed some punk bands in the late 1970s, including Fear. He also fronted Danny Hutton Hitters, whose cover of the Nik Kershaw song "Wouldn't It Be Good" appeared on the soundtrack for the 1986 film Pretty in Pink.
He began touring with a reconstituted Three Dog Night in the 1980s, and as of 2006 he is still appearing with that band.
