Danny Doring and Roadkill were a tag team in Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1996 to 2005.

Danny Doring & Roadkill were trained by Taz and Mikey Whipwreck at the ECW House of Hardcore in 1996. Once their training was complete, they joined the ECW roster, Danny faced Taz in their his match in May 1997 & Roadkill had his first professional match on October 18, 1996 in LuLu Temple in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania against Taz.

[edit] Gimmicks

Doring's original gimmick was that of a wrestler who used many unexciting holds and had vertigo, so would not use high-flying moves. When the audience chanted "boring", Doring would pretend that they were chanting for him, in December 1997, Doring changed his gimmick to that of a womaniser. Michael Depoli had the Amish gimmick and was known as the Amish Roadkill. His "gimmick" was that he liked to choke chickens.

[edit] Tag Team Formation

In December 1997, Doring & Roadkill formed together to be an unlikely tag team. They were managed by Miss Congeniality until she left ECW in 1999 to join the World Wrestling Federation, and then by Elektra until she turned on them in 2000.

[edit] Feuds

Doring and Roadkill quickly embarked on a two year long feud with Nova and Chris Chetti. This was followed by a series of feuds with the Impact Players (Lance Storm and Justin Credible), Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, Joey Matthews and Christian York and then Tommy Dreamer and Raven.

[edit] ECW Tag Team Championship

The team won the ECW World Tag Team Championships on August 26, 2000, at the Massacre on 34^th Street pay-per-view, defeating Tony Mamaluke and Little Guido. They held the titles until ECW declared bankruptcy in March 2001, and were permitted to keep the title belts in lieu of fees they were owed.

[edit] Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

After leaving ECW, Doring and Roadkill made appearances with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and wrestled dark matches for World Wrestling Entertainment. Doring also pursued a singles career, working for Xtreme Pro Wrestling in 2003 and various other independent promotions, particularly NWA Florida.

Both Doring & Roadkill appeared at the WWE promoted ECW reunion show, ECW One Night Stand 2005 on June 12, 2005. On July 23, Doring & Roadkill faced MNM on WWE Velocity, but lost.
