Danny Brown

Danny Brown (born London, September 12, 1980) is a professional footballer currently playing for Cambridge United in the Conference National.

Brown came through the youth ranks at Watford, before spending two years at Leyton Orient. Loaned to Icelandic 1st division club HK Kopavogur in 1998 and played 7 league matches. He completed a five figure transfer to Barnet in 1999 where he played 74 games, scoring 18 goals. Danny moved to Oxford United in the summer of 2003, spening two years with the U's before moving to Crawley in the summer of 2005. In November 2006 he signed for the other U's, Cambridge, and joins them on non-contract terms until January when Cambridge intend to offer an 18 month deal.

One of Brown's key strengths is his versatility. He can play left back, centre back, left midfield or central midfield. Crawley manager John Hollins made him captain for the 2006/07 season.
