Danilo Lazović

Danilo Lazović (Serbian Cyrillic: Данило Лазовић) (born 2 February 1951 in Brodarevo, Serbia then Yugoslavia - death 25 March 2006 in Belgrade, Serbia) was a Serbian Montenegrin actor.

In March 25th, 2006, Danilo died of a heart attack in Belgrade, at the age of 56.

He will be most remembered in his role as Šćepan Šćekić in the Yugoslavian "Srećni ljudi"- TV Series.

Danilo was a member of the Serbian Radical Party and follower of the Milosevic Regime.

During the war in Bosnia, he strongly supported his friend and the Serbian politician Radovan Karadžić, he was also a member of an organisation with the goals to show the world the truth about Karadžić.

[edit] Montenegrin referendum

In the awaiting of the Montenegrin referendum on independence, Danilo held a speech in which he spoke about the Serbian people and Serbian Orthodoxy, strongly opposing an independent state of Montenegro.
