Danielle Spencer (Australian actress)

Danielle Spencer (b. May 16, 1970) is an English-born Australian singer, songwriter and actress. She is the daughter of Australian television presenter Don Spencer.

Danielle is best known for being married to movie star Russell Crowe. Danielle and Russell married in July 2003 and have two sons, Charles Spencer Crowe, born 21 December 2003 and Tennyson Spencer Crowe (named after the famous English poet Alfred Lord Tennyson), born 7 July 2006.

During the 1990s she had several roles in Australian soap operas, using the work to raise funds to demo and produce her original compositions.

In 2001, Danielle released her debut album "White Monkey". Reviews likened her musical style to Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Portishead, noting that it was territory as yet unmined in the Australian musical soundscape.^{[citation needed]} Unfortunately, the album was not provided publicity by EMI beyond Danielle's tabloid appearances (due to the Crowe connection) and was commercially unsuccessful.^{[citation needed]}

"Back At The Red Door" - the sophomore album is being independently released in 2006, and contains the track "The Broken Ones".
