Daniela Mastrichio

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daniela Mastrichio (born November 18, 1987) is a child star, who is perhaps better known for her role as "Sol" in 1995's Telefe telenovela, "Chiquititas".

[edit] Career information

Mastrichio was cast as "Sol" at the age of seven. "Sol" was an orphan, whose father had led a bad life but repented and tried to gain "Sol"'s love without "Sol" actually knowing who he was. "Sol" knew that her mother had died when she was an infant.

Mastrichio became an international star after "Chiquititas" (named "Tiny Angels" in English) became a major hit in Argentina and a wide success in places from Latin America to Asia, with "Chiquititas" being translated into Hebrew and Russian during the soap opera's showing in the Israel and Russia television markets.

After three years as "Sol", Mastrichio retired from "Chiquititas", to study. She returned to Argentine television in 2002's "Kachorra", where she had a small role, and, later on that year, for another small role, in "Máximo in My Heart".

Once again, Mastrichio is semi-retired from acting, to finish her college degree.
