Daniel Turner (North Carolina)

Daniel Turner (1796—1860) was a U.S. Congressman from North Carolina (1827-1829).
Turner was a 1814 graduate from the United States Military Academy (West Point). He served in the Army until 1815, during which time he served in the War of 1812 as an acting assistant engineer. He was a member of the North Carolina House of Commons (1819-1823). He was elect to Congress in 1827, serving one term.
