Daniel S. O'Connell

Daniel S. O'Connell is CEO and founder of Vestar Capital Partners, a $7 billion private equity firm which concentrates its investments in management buyouts, growth capital, and recapitalizations. Before founding Vestar in 1988, O'Connell was with First Boston, where he was co-head of the Management Buyout Group.
He is a trustee of Greenwich Academy and a member of the Corporation of Brown University.
O'Connell holds an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management and an A.B. from Brown University.
