Daniel Patrick Kessler is an American painter living in Washington D.C.
Daniel Kessler is mostly famous for his Dog with Apple paintings and his rendering of the Texan flag. His paintings often depicts geometrically shaped animals, science related matters and architectural studies. He was given a presidental commission to paint the White House, one of his paintings was used by President Clinton and Mrs. Clinton as their christmas card in 1996.
Kessler himself has listed his major influences as modern artists such as Joseph Cornell, Man Ray, Robert Rauschenberg, and Gregory Gillespie; the 17th century Dutch masters; and the Italian Renaissance painters.
His paintings are widespread; both in corporate environments as well as private. The paintings are also very popluar as poster prints available in most poster shops.
