Daniel Motlop (born March 16, 1982) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

Playing as a defender or forward, Motlop debuted in 2001 for the Kangaroos and was traded at the end of 2005 due to shoulder injuries and inconsistent form. Motlop is considered to have "silky" skills but his inconsistency is his downfall.

He is the younger brother of footballer Shannon.

Motlop was given an opportunity that very few AFL players get and that is kick a goal after the final siren to win the game. In round 16 on July 23, 2006, Port Adelaide were down by 5 points against St Kilda, with Motlop taking a spectacular mark 25 metres out from goal with four seconds remaining in the game. Once the siren sounded, Motlop looked particularly pressured and rushed into his shot. He missed what is usually a straightforward shot for a professional footballer (toe punting the ball) thus leaving St Kilda as victors.
