Daniel Gillies (born March 14, 1976 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and raised in New Zealand), is a Canadian-born New Zealand actor. He went to Southwell School and Hamilton Boys' High School. He starred in his acting debut in the NZ drama Street Legal, where he played Tim O'Connor (2000-2002). He has been featured in the blockbuster movie Spider-Man 2 alongside Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire. In 2007, he'll reprise his role of John Jameson in Spider-Man 3.
He has done several New Zealand lotto ads.
He is married to actress Rachael Leigh Cook.
