Daniel Collopy (born February 1, 1978) is an Australian actor.

Throughout his school years he was always involved in drama and after doing his first musical, "Les Miserables", he knew that he wanted to act. At school he studied art, media, theatre studies and it was at Swinburne University that he studied graphic design. After working in radio, which he started after deferring his second year of university, he had casual work and then landed the role of Sean Edwards in long running Australian soap "Neighbours" (1985). Daniel played Josh West in another long running Australian soap "Home and Away" (1988 from 2001 until 2003 with some guest appearances in 2005 and 2006, respectively. This was his first regular role on television.

  • Daniel comes from a family of 10 consisting of his mum, dad, 5 brothers and 2 sisters, with Daniel being the youngest of the siblings. He also has 9 nephews and nieces. The family share their home with Elle - a Kelpie German shepherd.
  • He played 8 instruments throughout school, including the piano, drums and viola, but now enjoys singing.
  • Daniel is also a keen skier, enjoys rollerblading, swimming and running every day for exercise
  • In his spare time, Daniel still owns and operates his graphic design business. He also loves being surrounded by music. He has always been around music and bands and his brother is also a musician.
