Career Highlights

Daniel Chick (born February 10, 1976) is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League.

[edit] Hawthorn career

Chick made his debut for Hawthorn in 1996, winning the Peter Crimmins Trophy in 2000.

At Hawthorn, the West Australian quickly established himself as a tough and versatile half forward.

After the pain of chronic dislocation, Chick made headlines when he elected to have a finger amputated in 2002.

After several seasons with the Hawks, Chick expressed his intentions to return to his home state.

[edit] West Coast career

Chick returned to Perth as part of a trade deal to play with West Coast in 2003, where he became a very versatile tagger, shutting down many opponents. 2006 included many highlights for Chick. He booted 5 goals against Essendon in round 8. Daniel Chick later became a member of the 2006 Premiership team. Chick played a vital role in this premiership team. Midway through the last quarter, Chick smothered an attempted kick by Sydney's Ryan O'Keefe and set up an Adam Hunter goal, via the collection, handball and shepherd.
