Daniel Anderson (born May 3, 1967) is a rugby league coach. He is particularly noted for his work with the development of younger players.

Daniel started coaching at the Parramatta Eels working his up to Premier League coach before being made assistant coach to Brian Smith.

In 2001 he was a surprise choice for coach of the new look New Zealand Warriors. He had amazing success, taking them to their first finals series in 2001 and their first Grand Final in 2002, losing to the Sydney Roosters. He was sacked in 2004 after a dreadful start to the season and amid rumours that he was feuding with star halfback Stacey Jones.

He currently coaches St Helens RLFC in the Super League.

In August 2006 St Helens won the Challenge Cup after beating Huddersfield Giants 42-12 at Twickenham in the final, this was Daniel's first major trophy with the club. The club then went on to win the Grand final later that year.

In December 2006 Daniel was rewarded for St Helens' dominance throughout the season when he won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Coach Award. This was the first time a rugby league coach had lifted the award.

Anderson won the 2007 World Club Challenge with St Helens in February of that year, beating Australian champions Brisbane Broncos.
