[edit] Plot
Nancy Drew is an intern undercover in a fashion design studio in Paris. The lead designer, Minette, hasn't quite been herself lately. She hides behind a white mask and often throws tantrums, even firing several employees. Mysterious threats arrive at the old windmill studio and other troubles lurk in the underbelly of the City of Light.
Can you help Minette release her latest clothing line on time? Or will your sleuthing abroad meet an unfashionable end?
[edit] Characters
Minette - the famous couture fashion designer. Wears a white mask and has a wild tantrum.
Heather McKay - Minette's assistant
Dieter von Schwesterkrank - a fashion photographer and he once dated Minette.
Lynn Manrique - a historian who called to talk to Minette about Noisette Tornade, the previous owner of the moulin where Minette's fashion studio held as office. She is a phone character only.
Jing Jing Ling - Famous Australian model for Minette's fashion line; aims to reach the "perfect" size 12. Roommate of Nancy.
Jean Michel Traquenard - a fashion editor of Glam Glam magazine.
Zu - an expert on Paris's catacombs. He is a phone character only.
[edit] Trivia
- Jean Michel's last name means trap in French.
- Noisette Tornade's name means hazelnut tornado in French.
- The Vert Galant park actually exists on the Île de la Cité
- The woman who sends Noisette information on the M380 machine is Rose Penvellyn from Curse of Blackmoor Manor
- Two names on Jean Michel's PDA are references to Lost: Anne Lucie Croix is Ana Lucia Cortez translated into French and Pace Carroll is Charlie Pace translated into Latin.
- Sonny Joon, one of Minette's last assistants, was also featured in Secret of the Scarlet Hand along with Prudence Rutherford.
- You can get an Easter Egg in this game by flushing the toilet in Dieter's dark room ten times. During the tenth "flush" the toilet will make a chicken sound instead of a flushing sound. By doing this, you can skip developing the photographs and when Nancy talks to Dieter the photos will "supposedly" be developed. However, you must go over to the developing table to collect the photographs. Also, in your inventory, you will get a cute, but pointless and useless easter egg souvenir.
- It is important that you buy the books in the game after you swim in the sewers. If you have already bought a book, save your game immediately once you come out of the sewers and are about to leave the catacombs. There is a rat in the sewer that likes to steal books. When Nancy goes back to get her items, a book will be missing. If the book the rat steals is one that you cannot do without, then just reload your game from the save point before the book was stolen.
