Danell Nicholson (born November 15, 1967 in Chicago, Illinois) was a world-class boxer.

Nicholson was a member of the 1992 United States Olympic Team as a Heavyweight. His results were:
- Defeated Paul William Lawson (Great Britain) 10-2
- Defeated Zeljko Mavrovic (Crotia) 9-6
- Lost to Felix Savon (Cuba) 13-11

He boxed professionally from 1992-2003 with a career record of 42-5 (32), training under Emanuel Steward.
He won the vacant International Boxing Organization World Heavyweight title August 4, 1994 at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut with a 12th round split decision win over future 2 time world heavyweight champion John Ruiz.
He lost to contenders Andrew Golota (TKby8) and Kirk Johnson (L-10) before retiring in 2003 with a loss at the hands of Wladimir Klitschko (TKby4).
