Dando is a British manufacturing company founded in 1867. It manufactures and supplies drilling rigs and equipment.

Dando manufacture and sell a range of drilling rigs for land based drilling including:

- Waterwell drilling rigs
- Site investigation drilling rigs
- Mineral exploration drilling rigs
- Geotechnical and environmental survey drilling rigs

Dando also manufacture or supply a very large range of ancillary tooling, equipment and consumables.

The company has a very strong export history supplying a sizable proportion of it's larger water well machines outside the EU, often through aid agencies, UN agencies such as UNICEF or NGOs. In 2000 and 2003 Dando won a Queen's Award for Enterprise. Dando also has a healthy and growing domestic business, primarily serving the site investigation industry with drilling machines and equipment. This sector was boosted by the introduction in 2002 of the Dando Terrier and the continuing success of the Dando 2000 investigator.

From the Dando website:

"The roots of Dando Drilling go back to 1867 when the company founders, Mr. Duke and Mr. Ockenden, sank the first tubewell to ensure a clean water supply in Littlehampton, England following a cholera outbreak. In the ensuing years, Dando supplied tubewells for a number of military campaigns and developed and spread their operations globally, supplying drilling services, equipment, waterwells and windmills.
During this time that Dando became one of the most successful drilling contractors and drilling rig manufacturers of its type in the world. In 1980 the decision was made to cease the contracting operations in favour of manufacturing, with efforts concentrated on the creation of a range of drilling rigs and equipment that became second to none. Dando is active on every continent, with rigs seeing service lives as long as 50 years. Applications for Dando equipment include mineral exploration, waterwell drilling, geotechnical investigation and seismic exploration.
The company's long history has given Dando the opportunity to accumulate a large body of knowledge and expertise in all areas of the drilling industry. This experience enables Dando engineers to advise customers on selection of equipment and on all aspects of drilling operations. In addition to the supply of cable percussion and modern rotary hydraulic drilling rigs, Dando also offer a comprehensive range of ancillary equipment and services such as commissioning, training and project implementation."

The Name "D.AND.O" is a contraction of the names "Duke AND Ockenden"
