Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Dominic and Jimmy attend an Indian Scout meeting. Jimmy has beer that he brought, but is told it is against the rules. The chief tells Jimmy and Dominic that they must make their totem out of a potato chip can. Jimmy thinks there are chips inside, but is disappointed that it is empty. Dominic chooses Silver Fox for his Indian name and Jimmy chooses "Redd Foxx", after Sanford & Son.

Billy shows up with his nephew, Nathan. Billy tries to make Christine and Kim take Nathan to Chuck E. Cheese with them. Christine and Kim refuse unless Billy goes as well. Greg tells Dominic that he used to be an Indian Scout. Jimmy tells Dominic that since Greg knows about this stuff that he can help him decorate their totem and attend the next meeting. Greg teaches Dominic the campfire song. Greg’s name was Little Bear. At the next meeting, Greg wears his feathers and is told he can’t because he didn’t earn them. Greg tells the chief that he earned them when he was younger. Greg is named the new chief because he has the most feathers. Christine and Kim come home exhausted from Chuck E. Cheese. Billy is happy and wants to go again tomorrow and offers to take the kids with him while Christine and Kim go to the mall.

Jimmy comes in the room and Greg is helping Dominic with his math homework. Jimmy tells Greg he doesn’t need to help Dominic with his homework. Greg even drove Dominic to school and talked to his teacher. The teacher told Greg that Dominic is falling behind. Jimmy is angry that the teacher didn’t call him. Greg says he wouldn’t have driven Dominic to school if Jimmy went to the meeting with him. Jimmy tells Dominic that he is going to the upcoming campout and not Greg. Dominic wants Greg to go because he will help him earn his first feather. Dominic says Jimmy doesn’t even know the songs. Jimmy attempts to sing the campfire song, but messes up the words.

At the campout, Jimmy can’t figure out how to set up the tent. The chief offers his assistance, but Jimmy turns him down. The chief says if he would have accepted they would have earned their humble feather. Billy shows up looking for Jimmy and says Nathan went home with his mom. Christine and Kim try to get him to go to Chucky Cheese anyway, but he leaves.

Back at the campout, they have contest finding beads and the team with the most will earn a feather. One of the kids notices a “mountain lion” in the bushes. Jimmy throws a rock at it, but it was just a rabbit and he killed it. The kids are upset. While the chief tries to calm the kids down about the bunny, a group playing loud music arrives. No one wants to confront them except Jimmy. He tells them to turn the music down and they do. Jimmy returns and tells the troop that the group are moving to another location. Jimmy earns his warrior feather, the most converted feather, for bravery. Jimmy gives the feather to Dominic and in return earns a sharing feather which he says he doesn’t deserve it which then earns him his modesty feather. Cheerleaders show up with music playing and one of the others dads attempt to earn his warrior feather, but the cheerleaders beat him up.
