IMDb profile

Dancer, Texas Pop 81 is a 1998 comedy film about four friends in the small, fictional U.S. town of Dancer, Texas, located in Brewster County, Texas. As the title implies, only 81 people live in this town. Following their high school graduation, the four young men wrestle with their decisions to leave town for Los Angeles. The movie stars Breckin Meyer, Peter Facinelli, Ethan Embry, and Eddie Mills. Film reviewer Joe M. O'Connell, writing for the San Antonio Express-News, called the film "The finest representation of small-town Texas since The Last Picture Show." [[1]

[edit] Trivia

The film refers to Brewster County, Texas as the largest county in the United States, a title actually held by Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska, or San Bernardino County, California on the continental United States.
