[edit] Gameplay
The Game Boy versions of Dance Dance Revolution are unique to the series in that they are the only versions to lack a dance-pad interface. The game is played by hitting the directional arrow buttons corresponding to the arrows scrolling upwards on the screen. In the case of two arrows scrolling upwards at once, the 'A' button also functions as the right arrow, while the 'B' button works as the up arrow. It is also well known for the arrow sync which makes the game a whole 8th note early.
[edit] Music
The Game Boy versions of Dance Dance Revolution include various lower-quality synthesized renditions of songs appearing in previous mixes. These mixes are noteworthy in that they contain no original musical content.
