Dan Toler

Dan Toler, also known as "Dangerous Dan Toler." An Indiana native, he became popular in the late 1970s as a member of Dickey Betts' band Great Southern appearing on Dickey Betts & Great Southern and Atlanta's Burning Down. He went on to become a member of the Allman Brothers Band with Betts from 1978-1982 appearing on "Enlightened Rogues" (1979), "Reach for the Sky" (1980) and "Brothers of the Road" (1981).

Toler later was a member of the Gregg Allman Band in the 1980s as well as reformed version of Great Southern in the 2000s. He has a guitar that Dickey Betts once gave him that originally belonged to Duane Allman. He is well-known for having a guitar sound that much resembles the sound of Dickey Betts.

In 2006, Dan Toler and fellow guitarist Ed Zinner , along with Ron Gary, formed TGZ and released a CD called "Living Dangerously."
