[edit] Biography

Comedy started early in his life, at the tender age of 9 Dan Levy's mother placed him into a comedy class because of his apparent lack of athletic skills. He attended Emerson College in Boston and maintained a full-time student status while still jump-starting his stand-up career. By the end of his freshman year, Dan performed regularly at The Comedy Connection, Nick's Comedy Shop, and the Comedy Studio. He also spent that summer interning for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and performing at various New York City venues such as The Comic Strip Live. His comedy career really took off when he was chosen to compete in Funniest College Comedian in America at the 2001 Aspen U.S Comedy Arts Festival. Dan took home the title and signed a contract with the all-True Network in New York City, NY (Where he then wrote the comedic reality show titled The Dan Levy Show)

In July of 2003 he made his network debut performing on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn". That year he also began a college tour throughout the country and was honored with Assumption College's "Golden Cab Award for Funniest Comedian of 2003."
