Dan Donnelly

Daniel Donnelly (born 1974) is a New York based singer-songwriter.

Growing up in Belfast, Dan played in a number of local bands, finding success in Ireland with Watercress, a four piece acoustic rock band before moving to New York to pursue a solo career.

Using the pseudonym Sonovagun, Dan has so far released one solo album, "Bootleg", and is currently working on a second entitled, "Yearning a Living".

Dan has toured extensively; performing solo shows, as a support act to artists such as The Levellers and Seth Lakeman as well as performing as part of the Levellers' live band. In 2006, Dan played the main stage of The Beautiful Days festival in Exeter. Some of the members of Dan's live band have included Ali McMordie from Stiff Little Fingers on bass guitar and Roy Harter on keyboards and theremin.

Dan has been a part of the live band and featured on the recorded work of Joy Zipper

As a boy, Dan's main musicial influence was Liverpool band The Beatles
