Dan Donigan is a retired United States soccer player and current head coach of Saint Louis University Men's Soccer team.

Donigan attended Steinert High School in New Jersey. He graduated in 1984. Donigan led the Steinert to the Group 3 state championship his senior year, the same year he scored 34 goals.

Donigan played NCAA soccer at the University of Connecticut (UConn) from 1985 to 1988. During his time there, he was named a three-time All-American at forward. He received the adidas Adi Dasslar Award as the nation's "Most Outstanding Senior Soccer Player" in 1988.

Donigan finished his Huskies career with 35 goals and 40 assists for 110 points.

Donigan began playing professionally in 1990. Like many U.S. soccer players in the 1980s and early 1990s, his was an itinerant life, moving from one club to another. Over the years, he spent time playing indoor soccer for the Wichita Wings, St. Louis Storm and St. Louis Steamers of the MISL. He also spent time with the St. Louis Ambush of the NPSL.

Donigan played outdoor soccer for the Boston Bolts, Penn-Jersey Spirit and Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Donigan played professionally as a member of the Milwaukee Wave (NPSL) and of the Rockford Raptors (USISL).

In 1988, Donigan earned 4 caps for the U.S. futsal team.

In 1990, he earned his only cap on the United States men's national soccer team.

Donigan served as an assistant men's soccer coach at UConn for three seasons, beginning in 1994. In 1997, St Louis University hired Donigan as their assistant coach.

On February 5, 2001, he became the school's current, and fifth, head coach.
