[edit] Character
Having grown up in a small rural town, Dan has an affinity with nature and the outdoors.
As a child, Dan caused his parents little in the way of teenage grief, despite being fiercely competitive with his older brother Peter (Nicholas Bishop). When he learned that Peter was in a coma after being attacked by Sarah Lewis (Luisa Hastings-Edge), Dan arrived in Summer Bay to stay by his bedside.
While in Summer Bay, Dan almost immediately fell in love with Leah Patterson (Ada Nicodemou). The two spent a lot of time together as a result of their mutual concern for Peter and in mid-2005 Dan and Leah married.
Dan's is passionate about his family and his work. He has been the Student Counsellor at Summer Bay High School consistently since late 2004.
