[edit] Duplication

The introductory section of the category page duplicates information currently found on spider; and in some cases is a bit contradictory. While having a category page of dangerous spiders is useful; a good refactoring might be to have a (non-category) page called Dangerous Spiders (or Venemous Spiders, or whatever seems appropriate) and move the content from Spider to there.

Why is it that the black widow is considered very dangerous while the brown recluse is only dangerous, when the black widow is actually less dangerous? that is stupid. -till

  • Actually, the widow is probably more dangerous; though the bites of both (the recluse, especially) are over-sensationalized in the media. Major instances of flesh-rot following a recluse bite are very rare. --EngineerScotty 01:28, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
