Damien Lovelock

Damien (Damo) Lovelock is an Australian musician who attained relative fame as television identity of SBS. He appears weekly on The World Game in his own segment Fans' Corner. Lovelock has served as a freelance reporter covering football for numerous Australian radio, TV, magazines and newspapers. Damien appears yearly on the SBS's Super Bowl special as well appearing on the short series Song for the Socceroos.

He has written two books, Soccer: Great Moments, Great Matches and his most recent Damo's Bedside Guide to the World Cup.

Lovelock is also the lead singer and songwriter for the Sydney hard rock band The Celibate Rifles. This band, a child of Sydney's inner west, remains hitherto only of very local importance.
