[edit] Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words regarding the article. Recognition must also go to Maelgwn, who provided a large amount of the text and the photos! I've noticed you're located in the eastern suburbs too - would you be at all interested in helping with a article on your own suburb? I'm happy to collaborate! Cheers, michael talk 06:34, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, well done to the both of you. I've just started working on Toorak Gardens this afternoon, but I've got very little time at the moment. I'm going to take some photos for the article this weekend. I'm certainly happy for you to collaborate! Cheers, Dally Horton 08:35, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Information
For general history, Elizabeth Warburton's The Paddocks Beneath is a fantastic resource (I've borrowed it from the Burnside Library, there's some four copies left if you wish to do the same!). The Burnside ABS details [1] are also useful for the residents and transport sections. Politics information can be gained by finding polling booth results at the State and Federal Electoral Sites (I'm assuming Toorak Gardens would use the Rose Park booth). Further from that, information can be found on the individual websites of the attractions - or even on plaques located around the suburb! Best of luck, michael talk 02:29, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I'll grab a copy of that book this weekend (I'll need to dust off the ol' library card). Yep, we vote at Rose Park Primary School. Dally Horton 02:48, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photos
Just wondering if you would be able to get any photos of Toorak Gardens for the article (my digital camera was stolen a while back!) I'm looking for ones of Kensington Road, Trak Cinema, the Bowling Club and the Burnside War Memorial Hospital. Cheers! michael talk 03:04, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Absolutely! I had a mad weekend so unfortunately I couldn't take any, but I've got a few planned out. I notice you got a new photo up. Did you get a new camera, or is that an old shot? Dally Horton 02:27, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
