Talk:Dalavich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are currently 65 (EOE) permanent residents of Dalavich as of Easter Sunday 2007, if you include children. This figure excludes permanent residents of the adjacent cabin site, surrounding houses and Barnaline Lodge, which would bring the figure to over 70. As there are a couple of empty houses (in the process of changing hands), which could be sold as permanent residencies, this figure may go higher. Dalavich 15:43, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Can you please explain EOE?
- EOE (caveat), a commonly used caveat meaning Errors and omissions excepted Dalavich 07:39, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Are the midgies still as bad?
Midges are simply part of life in a village sandwiched between trees and a loch, a minor annoyance outweighed by the joys of living here. Personally I think you become immune after a few years! (Please note that this statement has no basis in scientific fact.) ForestryGirl 14:21, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Rather optimistic way to look at it! i lived there most of my life and i never got used to it and none of the magic potions or sprays to stop them ever worked, or you could use those mesh nets for your head but dignity goes by the wayside.
According to the FC's website, the Avich Falls walk IS waymarked with blue circles. ForestryGirl 16:24, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
