In 1775, during the American Revolution, Dallman took up arms to defend his home from the British and died defending Breeds Hill. He became Immortal and he would meet his teacher, Thomas Morehead and learned about immortallity.
Now an Immortal, he is still teaching children at school. Dallman is still a dedicated man who believes in helping kids. In the 1970s, he meets the love of his life, Beth. They had everything going for them till a young child Immortal, Kenny came along, they took him in, not knowing that he would take other Immortals head. Tragedy happened in 1975 when Kenny was about to take Dallman's head. Beth saw what Kenny was about to do and she saved Dallman from getting killed, but died in the process. Kenny got away and it is here that Dallman became a drifter, looking for Kenny every since.
In 1994, Seacouver, Washington. Dallman would run into Kenny and see that he is taken in by Immortals Duncan MacLeod and Richie Ryan. Dallman came to MacLeod's dojo and met Richie and tried to get Kenny, but not knowing to Richie at the time about Kenny being dangerous, was protecting Richie. Dallman leaves the dojo. Later on, Dallman meets Duncan MacLeod and Duncan wants to protect Kenny. Dallman tells MacLoed why he is after Kenny. Duncan doesn't believe it, but spares Dallman's life. Dallman tells Duncan to be careful of Kenny. A few minutes have passed.
