Dallay

Dallay is a French philatelic editor established in Paris. It publishes stamp catalogs since 2001.
The Dallay catalogs lists postage stamps issued by countries collected by French philatelists : metropolitan France, French overseas territories, French post in Andorra and Monaco. Late 2005, Dallay published a catalog for French former colonial empire.
The appearance of Dallay 2001 forced the two others main philatelic editors in France to react, since Dallay catalogs offer more information about the stamps : stamp designers' name, postal use at the time of issue, etc. Cérès and Yvert et Tellier lowered the price of the France catalog and offer with it a free catalog on CD-ROM.
But in 2004, Dallay was sentenced by a court of justice for forgery and unfair competition for the use of Yvert numbering system which was first used in 1895. In March 2005, after arbitration by the French Conseil de la Concurrence, Yvert et Tellier began to sell the right for its competitors to print an index of Yvert stamp number at the end of their catalogs. Dallay used the opportunity from the 2005-2006 edition.
