Dallas City Hall is the seat of Dallas municipal government, located at 1500 Marilla in the Government District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). It was completed in 1978 and was designed by I.M. Pei in the modernist architectural style [1] — like many of his buildings, Dallas City Hall is very angular and is designed like an inverted triangular prism.

[edit] Construction
The physical location of the city hall was left to the citizens of the city proper of Dallas, when the city council appointed a Citizen's City Hall Study Committee in 1964 to select an appropriate site.[2]
