[edit] Music career

Always interested in music from the early age, Daljit's flair was recognized before time and he was encouraged to develop his music acumen by senior musicians and relatives. He did this via formal training and guidance from his guru, late Ustad Gamdoor Aman in Punjab. During this period he acquired knowledge on both Bhangra and folk singing whilst still in his teens. Heavily influenced by musical maestros like Ustad Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustad Hussain Bux Gullo, Shaukat Ali, Sukhvinder Singh and Mohmammad Rafi Daljit was immensely involved in taking up stage shows for cultural, religious and festive purposes by his early twenties. During this time he sang and accompanied many famous celebrities of Punjabi folklore. Moving to England in the 80’s gave Daljit Neer a chance to meet Shri Ramnik Varu from Leicester, who played a colossal role in finding and polishing Daljit’s musical talent.
